Zhenfeng Ancient Town Scenic Area is located in Zhenfeng County, Qianxinan Prefecture, Guizhou Province. It is a well-preserved living ancient town of the Buyi ethnic group, originating from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Originally called "Mingu" in the Buyi language, meaning "my place," it is the only completely preserved Buyi ancient town in China. Its streets and alleys continue the Ming and Qing Dynasty layout, with bluestone paths winding between gray walls and black tiles. Historical buildings such as the Wenchang Palace, the Great West Gate, and the Lianghu Guild Hall are nestled within. Today, nearly 1,600 original residents still live and work in peace and contentment in this "living ancient town," where the vibrant atmosphere of daily life continues day and night. As a national-level nighttime cultural and tourism consumption cluster, the ancient town is brightly lit at night, with intangible cultural heritage creative products, local delicacies, and folk performances complementing each other. The ancient town is open to the public free of charge year-round, forming a unique cultural tourism route of "warmth of the ancient town + miracle in the clouds" together with the nearby Huajiang Canyon Bridge, known as the "world's highest bridge."
