Xingyi Wanfenglin Scenic Area is a national 5A-level tourist attraction located in Xingyi City, Qianxinan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province.
Located in the heart of southwestern Guizhou on the southeastern edge of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, the scenic area covers more than 2,000 square kilometers and is the most typical region in the world for the development of cone-shaped karst peak forest landforms. With a pleasant climate, the average annual temperature is 16-18℃, with mild winters and cool summers, it has been listed among the top summer resorts in China and is a popular destination for health and wellness tourism.
Wanfenglin is characterized by its conical peak forest and peak cluster karst landforms formed by Triassic strata, interspersed with various geological relics such as karst caves, sinkholes, and underground rivers. The peak forests are diverse in shape and can be divided into five major types, including array peak forests and sword-shaped peak forests, and are known as the "Museum of Conical Karst in China".
Main attractions include natural landscapes such as General Peak, Nahui Slope Valley, and Bagua Fields. General Peak, shaped like a general, is an isolated stone pillar; Nahui Slope Valley is surrounded by peaks, forming a basin; Bagua Fields are funnel-shaped depressions with a diameter of over ten meters, named for the Bagua (eight trigrams) pattern formed by villagers cultivating the land according to the terrain. In addition, there are cultural attractions such as Wanfo Temple and Nahui Village. The main hall of Wanfo Temple is located in a karst cave, and Nahui Village is a Buyi ethnic village with a thousand-year history, rich in ethnic customs.
