Dali Dong Village is nestled deep in the verdant mountains of Rongjiang County in southeastern Guizhou Province. It is a pure Dong ethnic village with a history of hundreds of years and is known as a "living museum of Dong architecture and culture".
The village is built along the stream and has well-preserved more than 240 ancient stilted houses, 5 exquisite century-old covered bridges, and ancient bluestone paths. Among them, the courtyard houses from the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty and the flower bridges spanning the stream form a tranquil picture of "small bridges, flowing water and houses".
This place is not only a treasure trove of architecture, but also a place for the preservation of intangible cultural heritage. You can hear the Dong folk songs, hailed as "heavenly music," and witness ancient crafts such as Dong cloth making and indigo dyeing. The village is surrounded by a huge ancient camphor tree forest, where forests, streams, terraced fields, and wooden houses coexist harmoniously, creating a tranquil atmosphere.
